The combination of fabrics here is all about color. The playful pineapple-themed, medium-weight barkcloth is a fabric I’ve had for a long time. In the early 2000s, my husband Neil and I rented a sweet little bungalow in Venice, California, where I used to haunt an upholstery store called Diamond Foam and Fabric. They had racks and racks of barkcloth, and you can imagine how much dough I dropped surrounded by my fave fabrics! This is the very last of that yardage. The “Autumn Fairies, Flower Fairies” lining fabric is likewise the last of its kind. The piping is a Charley Harper organic cotton print of pheasants that contrasts wonderfully.
