“Botanical Glow,” an original design by Tommy Bahama, forms the exterior of this tropical bag. This durable upholstery fabric came from one of my cherished sewist stomping grounds, Jay’s Fabric in St. Petersburg, Florida, just before Jay retired and closed his doors forever. It’s complemented by this swinging lining fabric, “Jungle Jive” by Asa Gilland for Clothworks, and the pop of “Dino Punk” quilting fabric by Holly Glaspet in the custom-made piping. Both came from 5 Little Monkeys Quilting, one of my current sewist stomping grounds. Thank goodness for great fabric stores and the treasures they hold!
