The outside fabric is a Trendtex “Birds of Paradise” barkcloth that I purchased from Jay’s Fabric in St. Petersburg, Florida, just before they sadly closed their doors forever. A one-of-a-kind fabric from a jewel of a store that I will sincerely miss. I combined the bold barkcloth with this swell “Island Girls” lining fabric from Alexander Henry. I bought a lot of this fabric because I love the pin-up girl vibe. The polka dot piping fabric is from my remnant bin, and brings the design together into the perfect beach bag for summer vacations!
