This exterior fabric is another Trendtex barkcloth called “Copa Cabana,” and oh, is this tropical print intoxicating! If I still lived in Florida, I would recover a rattan sofa and chairs with it and lounge through the heat of summer. The lining is a cotton print from the American Folk & Fabric, Inc. Antique Collection called “Court Floral,” a perfect pairing with the bold exterior print. I bought it at a really swell fabric shop in Van Nuys, California, although I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the store! The piping fabric is a favorite from my stash, with dragonflies that always remind me of my brother, John.
